Classification of construction adhesives:
I. Classification by physical form:
Aqueous solutions: Polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose, phenolic resin, urea-formaldehyde resin, sodium silicate, etc.;
Solutions: Nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, polyvinyl acetate, chloroprene rubber, nitrile rubber, etc.;
Emulsions (latices): Polyvinyl acetate, polyacrylates, natural latex, chloroprene latex, nitrile latex, etc.; Solvent-free types: Epoxy resin, acrylates, cyanoacrylates, etc.;
Solid types: Powder: Starch, casein, polyvinyl alcohol, copper oxide, etc.; Flakes/blocks: Fish glue, rosin, hot-melt adhesive, shellac, etc.; Cord/rod: Epoxy sticks, hot-melt adhesive, shellac, etc.; Adhesive films: Phenolic-polyvinyl acetal, phenolic-nitrile, epoxy-nitrile, epoxy-polyamide, etc.; Tapes: Pressure-sensitive, heat-sealable; Pastes and putties
II. Classification by curing type:
Physical curing: Solvent-based, emulsion-based, hot-melt, etc.; Chemical curing: Moisture-curing, water-hardening, anaerobic curing, reactive curing, etc.;
III. Classification by bonding strength and hardness:
Structural type: Construction structural adhesives (e.g., steel-bonding adhesives, rebar anchoring adhesives, grouting adhesives, carbon fiber reinforcement adhesives); curtain wall structural adhesives (e.g., dry-hanging adhesives, silicone structural adhesives). Non-structural type: Bonding adhesives (e.g., flooring adhesives, floor tile adhesives, wallpaper adhesives, plastic pipe adhesives, stone adhesives, bamboo/wood adhesives); sealants (e.g., polysulfide sealants, butyl sealants, silicone sealants).
IV. Classification by application area:
Tile adhesives: Primarily used for bonding various wall and floor tiles (indoor and outdoor). Stone adhesives: Primarily used for bonding various types of stone, such as marble and granite. Interface treatment agents: Primarily used for surface preparation and sealing/priming. Panel joint and block adhesives: Primarily used for bonding partition panels and gypsum boards, as well as treating panel joints. Putty adhesives: Primarily used for leveling surfaces with cement-based putty.
V. Classification by chemical composition:
Polysulfide rubber, chloroprene rubber, acrylic, polyurethane, butyl rubber, silicone rubber, rubber-plastic composites, thermoplastic elastomers, etc.
